Vishnu Veerathu

Welcome to my webpage! I am a recent Computer Science and Engineering graduate (2020) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. Currently, I am a Research Engineer in the Datapath at Cohesity. I largely work on Scribe, the internal distributed key value store. My research experience so far has been in the areas of algorithms and machine learning. Although I’ve worked on many diverse projects in various fields, I believe that a good description of the projects I’ve worked on so far could be stated as finding ways to increase the applicability of computer science to real life . Living in two different countries : United States and India has shaped a lot of my life experiences and made me understand the appealing aspects of life both in chaos and order. I am currently in the process of applying to Master's programs to increase my research experience and knowledge of the current advancements in the various sub-fields of machine learning. I use this blog to pen glimpses of my life so far as a computer scientist and researcher.
