Virtual EcoMissions is an unconventional ministry that works with individuals and organizations in sub-Saharan Africa (primarily Kenya and Malawi) in need of assistance with conservation and environmental concerns. As of 2024, the primary mission is to address the problem of snakebite (considered a neglected tropical disease by the World Health Organization) by doing the following:
Training individuals to become community educators that teach people about snakebite envenomation and prevention. This saves human lives and protects snakes from unnecessary killing (conservation).
Equipping teams of trainers to visit communities in snake-prone areas to educate people and minister to survivors and victims
Assisting individuals to get first aid and snake handler training
Providing educational materials for community trainers and peer trainers in snakebite prevention and other conservation-related topics
Ministering through local churches and organizations to snakebite survivors and the families of victims (medical bills, transport to doctors and clinics, wound management, food, and other necessities)
Other conservation-related projects that restore habitat and protect the remaining species
