Activity 1: Making a Video
Watch the Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s Remember the River video (2008) at www.delawareriverkeeper.org. Work with your parent, teacher, or guardian and anyone paddling with you to create a short video (less than 5 minutes) about the Delaware River. Your video should explain why you think it is important to protect the Delaware RIver. Videos should be appropriate for sharing across the Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s social media.
Activity 2: Write a Paragraph
Do you think your state should adopt a Green Amendment? Why would a Green Amendment be useful to your state? Write 4-6 sentences explaining why. If your state already has a Green Amendment, why should other states have one?
Activity 3: Draw a Picture
Draw a picture of your classroom or individual Canoe, sailing down the Delaware River. Snap a picture of your drawing to submit by email! Drawings should be appropriate for sharing across the Delaware Riverkeeper Network’s social media.
