Can I start with a free study session to see if this service is for me?
Yes. You may sign up for 1 free appointment. There is no obligation to purchase additional appointments or services.
How long does a study appointment last and what is the typical cost?
The length of study appointments can be tailored to the needs of the student. Our Kickstart packages are designed within a one-week timetable to boost study skills independence. Individual study appointments are typically 60, 90, or 120 minutes in length and can be purchase as needed.

How many students are assigned to a Study Coach at the same time?
One. If a parent would like to arrange for two children (siblings or friends) to work together to save cost, Virtual Study Coach can accommodate the request. A $20 per hour per child fee is assigned when parents request an additional child in the same study appointment. To ensure a high level of supervision, we ask parents not to request a study appointment of more than three students.
What happens if I cancel a study session?
Cancellations less than 24 hours ahead of a reserved study appointment will be billed in full. Since Study Coaches reserve their time for students, we require cancellations in a timely manner.
What feedback can I expect after a study hall session?
We hope to see our students demonstrate progress and more independent study skills behaviors over time. Our Post-Game Report offers feedback after each study appointment and is based on our Big 4 Study Skills Model.
Technology Needs
What technology do I need?
Study Coaches will typically connect with students via Google Meet or Zoom. In some cases, a cell phone with working video camera allows for additional live supervision of the student's work space. Virtual Study Coach will tailor our supervision to the academic needs of the student.
Does Virtual Study Coach make use of any proprietary software downloads or apps?
Not at this time.
