Dane Wallace is Assistant Professor of Paramedical Technology and Program Director at the University of Alaska | Matanuska Susitna College located in Palmer, AK. He is also a Flight Paramedic with Guardian Flight Alaska. He was first certified as an EMT in 1990 and later as a Paramedic in 1993. He has worked in both large urban EMS systems and rural EMS systems in North Carolina and Alaska. He has remote Paramedicine training and experience working off-shore in the Gulf of Mexico for the oil and gas industry. He earned a B.S. in Emergency Medical Care from Western Carolina University in 2015 and is currently working toward a Master’s in Public Health. He is also a board certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C). He lives in Palmer, AK with his wife and their son where he is pursuing his life-long dream of homesteading in Alaska. Dane’s hobbies include long-range shooting, hiking, and the stock market.

Rick Hines is Clinical Manager for Guardian Flight Alaska. He is a retired EMS Duty Officer for the Indianapolis Fire Department. He worked his way through the ranks as a Paramedic, Firefighter, and Instructor for the IFD Fire Academy. Along the way he earned an A.S. in Homeland Security and later a B.S. in Public Safety and Emergency Management. Rick has over 30 years of experience in Fire & EMS in large urban Fire-based EMS systems and in rural EMS agencies. Rick is also a board certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C). Rick lives in beautiful Ketchikan, AK with his wife, and Flight Nurse, who recently completed her Nurse Practitioner degree and now sees patients in Ketchikan.

Nick Clayton is Adjunct Faculty and Paramedic Lab Instructor at the University of Alaska | Matanuska Susitna College. He relocated to Alaska in 2019 from Denver, CO. His past experience includes Operations Manager for American Medical Response and Education Coordinator for Denver Health Paramedic Division. Nick has 20 years experience as a Paramedic and Instructor in large urban and suburban EMS systems. Nick is also an accomplished musician and enjoys playing guitar in his free time.
