Virtual IO Seminar Series
The CEPR Virtual IO Seminar (VIOS) provides a short-run alternative to IO seminars cancelled or disrupted due to travel restrictions brought on by the Coronavirus. Our long-run goal, however, is to turn it into a permanent platform for sharing the benefits of regular IO seminars. Seminars will be balanced between theoretical and empirical approaches to IO.
Upcoming Talks
All seminars take place on Wednesdays at 4PM CET (Rome time) on Zoom (registration required, see below).
February 24: TBA.
Papers and videos (when recorded) for previous talks are available here. The schedule can be imported using Google Calendar or this ics file.
Seminar Rules
Each seminar lasts for up to 60 minutes. The speaker's presentation lasts for 45 minutes. There are one or two discussants that speak first after the paper to spur the debate, followed by questions from the audience. Each seminar is moderated by the session host.
Detailed rules for each participant type (speaker, discussant, participant, etc.) can be found on the Seminar Rules page.
Registration
Anyone interested is welcome to participate to VIOS. You can join our mailing list here and we will send you an invitation to register with Zoom for each seminar. Invitations are sent some days before the seminar, you may not receive one for a specific talk unless you joined the mailing list in advance.
