Learning the difference between CUNY, SUNY, AND PRIVATE COLLEGES. Exploring different options when applying for college.

CUNY schools are all located in New York City, with campuses across all five boroughs; I.e. The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and Staten Island).

SUNY schools are located across New York State I.e. Albania, Buffalo, Binghamton, Utica, New Paltz, etc.

Private schools can be a mix of city and state. I.e. Fordham University, Colombia University, Cornell University, Syracuse University, Iona College.

Private colleges may ask for auditions, portfolios, and testing.
