Project Description
For this project I took a survey to see how social media impacts my life.
After taking the "Am I Addicted To Social Media?" quiz I realized that at the rate Im using social media it's not really affecting my life all that much since my results said,Â
Congratulations! Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live 'in the moment' rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up!
I agree that I don't live on social media due to the fact that all the people close to me inform me of recent news that I haven't heard of yet. I do enjoy living in the moment and not really worrying about the past or future.
Interesting Social Media Statistic
The most interesting stat in the article was how many people in America use YouTube, since it's mainly the only app I use regularly on a daily bases.
Social Media's Impact on Society
In my opinion I don't really see the negative's of social media, but my close friends are people who use Social Media as a job. In my opinion social media has impacted this generation more positively. There are more opportunities for the people who use social media as educational and to find knowledge of anything you want to persue. I use social media to understand information and see different views of the world, but I also see the negatives of all the false information and the hackers, but I think the positives outweigh the negatives for social media.
Lessons Learned
I learned that my use of social media isn't unhealthy like how my teachers and other parents tell me, but the rate I use social media probably won't change as much throughout the years to become unhealthy unless I start doing crypto or something.
