During this time, alongside fellow brethren, he contributed to the founding of the campus church. As a pioneer member, Oshokenoya initially served as the assistant secretary, working under Bob Ozoma. When Bob moved to the United States after a year, Oshokenoya took over as the church secretary in his third year. In this role, he coordinated weekly activities, assigned members to follow up with absentees, and managed announcements—a responsibility he upheld faithfully until his graduation in 2000.
After completing his youth service, Oshokenoya practised pharmacy in Benin for nine years and worshipped with the Uwasota Church of Christ, where he continued to serve as church secretary until 2012.
