The Mentors

Dr. Ogaga-Oghene Akpughe is a dedicated Christian. He worships and serves with his faith community at the Church of Christ on West Way Drive in Belfast. He brings this same dedication to his career as a general practice trainee doctor, where he’s passionate about promoting health and helping others grow in all aspects of their lives. With a heart for service, Ogaga approaches his work and relationships with compassion and integrity.

Beyond his professional and spiritual commitments, Ogaga enjoys a rich personal life with his wonderful wife, Bridget. In his free time, he loves watching football, playing tennis, and enjoying a good movie.

As a mentor, Ogaga is excited to support others on their own journeys, bringing his experience, empathy, and encouragement to help them reach their fullest potential.

Dr. Paul is a public health professional, leader and scholar. A graduate of the University of Benin, he has two decades of professional experience under his belt spanning medicine, public health, leadership, and research. His professional services and leadership cut across several institutions; as a member of CDC’s Global Health Workforce Panel, as Senior Public Health Advisor at the CDC Foundation serving at the Chicago Department of Public Health, and currently as Infection Prevention and Control Consultant at the Virginia Department of Social Services. Paul was both a committee member of the American College of Epidemiology (ACE) and the Benjamin H. Kean Travel Fellowship in Tropical Medicine of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH). 

Paul has 3 postgraduate degrees in public health—a master of public health from the University of Benin, a master of public health epidemiology from Liberty University in Virginia, including a fellowship in Community Medicine from the West African College of Physicians. Paul takes an interest in public health research. He has authored 18 articles published in high-impact peer-reviewed journals, he is a reviewer for reputable journals, and his research has garnered over 300 citations on his Google Scholar profile. Paul is currently completing a Doctor of Public Health degree in health equity and diverse populations at Mercer University in Atlanta, Georgia. 

He is the founder of Mission 1414 Inc., a Christian nonprofit charity in Virginia. In addition to Paul’s extensive experience and involvement in public health and leadership, he is also active as a song leader and college-grade Bible class teacher at the Fort Avenue Church of Christ in Virginia.

Dr. Mike Udam is a versatile professional, serving as Vice Principal at Government Secondary School Adagom, Northern Cross River, and as a Microsoft Certified Educator. He leads AI training for teachers to enhance educational outcomes. 

Also an active gospel preacher, Mike conducts discipleship and evangelism training across regions. He has authored 10 impactful Christian books, gaining respect for his contributions to education, ministry, and community. 

Abasiono Ufot is a seasoned supply chain management and procurement expert with over 30 years of experience. He holds a degree in Applied Physics and has worked with top firms like NNPC, Shell, and Cadbury. Ufot has played key roles in Nigeria’s Warri Refinery Turn Around Maintenance (TAM) and co-founded start-ups. 

He currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer at NeGst-TAS Technologies, specializing in strategy, change management, and digital governance. He is a teacher of the word of God, an evangelist and a church leader, building many up in Christ. Beyond the church, he is also a leader in his community and holds prestigious traditional titles. 

Sonia Osariemen Okojie, MBA, CAMS, is a seasoned financial expert with 18 years of experience in the financial sector, having worked with prestigious organizations such as United Bank of Africa in Nigeria, and Fulton Bank and Wells Fargo in the United States, where she currently resides with her family.

Sonia is also a dynamic speaker known for her strong analytical skills, honed through extensive training in Accounting, Data Analytics, and Anti-Money Laundering at respected institutions, including the University of Benin, Liberty University, and the University of Texas. Her expertise allows her to provide insightful, high-impact presentations whenever called upon.

She gave her life to Christ and was baptized over 30 years ago.  She currently worships God with the Fort Avenue Church of Christ in the United States. She is married to Dr. Paul West Okojie and is the proud mother of four children.

Solomon Enilolobo is a dynamic entrepreneur, farmer, and mentor known for his leadership across various sectors. With a BSc in Microbiology and an MSc in Public Health from London South Bank University, He has worked with international organizations including UNESCO, Commonwealth Council, British Council, Adams&Moore, 100 Black Men of London, NAPAC and has participated in conferences across America, Africa, Asia, Middle East and Europe. He has at different times honoured the invitations from the Government of China: the Ministry of Commerce in Denmark: the Danish National Agency for Universities and Internationalization, the Government of Sweden: the Swedish National Board for Youth Affairs and the British Council, The World Bank: At their 2017 annual meeting in Washington DC and has participated at different Commonwealth Head of Government Meetings (CHOGM). He has widely travelled and spoken to young people at different schools and colleges across England, America and Africa.

In agribusiness, Solomon cultivates over 33 acres of cassava and owns one of the largest maize farms in Ogun State. He recently launched a 50,000-broiler facility to bolster Nigeria’s poultry sector. Additionally, he directs Oluwalogbon Electricals and Electronics, a family business and market leader in Ogun State for over 35 years, and co-founded MedBase Pharmacy, a rapidly growing community pharmacy aimed at revolutionizing medicine distribution in Nigeria.

Active in entrepreneurship and advocacy, Solomon coordinates the Alliance of Young Nigerian Entrepreneurs (AYNE) in the Southwest, serves as Treasurer of Abeokuta’s Chamber of Commerce, and manages the Building Our National Image project to promote Nigerian patriotism and values among youth.

Precious Ozemoya holds a master’s degree from the University of Bristol. She is an author, global speaker, and advocate for human capital development, with extensive experience in nonprofit, higher education, and public policy sectors. As a Youth Ambassador for ONE Organization, she has also received multiple scholarships, allowing her to study in the UK, Kansas State University, and Lagos Business School.

Precious has participated in significant international forums, including the ICRC’s "People-Centric Humanitarian Response in Conflict" event, Africa-EU Summit, ITU’s Her Cyber Tracks, and the Women Economic Forum. She contributed to the 2020 Voluntary National Review on the SDGs for Nigeria’s Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs, reflecting her commitment to global development.

With a strong leadership background, she has served as the Directorate of Education and Cultural Exchange for AFRINYPE and as a judge for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition. Her advocacy includes roles as a UN SDSN Global School Advocate and Coordinator for the Commonwealth Young Women Mentorship Program under the Commonwealth Youth Council.

Precious is a Safe Sister Fellow, Civic Hive Fellow, and YALI Fellow. Her numerous awards include the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship, the Exceptional Leaders of Excellence Award from the Women Economic Forum, the She Leaps Most Influential Leaders Award, the NYSC Merit Award in Ogun State, Nigeria, and the Eippy Award for co-authoring the international bestseller, How Big Can You Dream.

Izzi is a Christian who is devoted to the service of God and community. He worships with the Church of Christ, Egbeda, in Lagos State, Nigeria. Izzi is blessed with a lovely wife and two wonderful kids.

Oshokenoya Monofi is a Christian and pharmacist who studied at the University of Benin from 1993 to 2000. During this time, alongside fellow brethren, he contributed to the founding of the campus church. As a pioneer member, Oshokenoya initially served as the assistant secretary, working under Bob Ozoma. When Bob moved to the United States after a year, Oshokenoya took over as the church secretary in his third year. In this role, he coordinated weekly activities, assigned members to follow up with absentees, and managed announcements—a responsibility he upheld faithfully until his graduation in 2000.

After completing his youth service, Oshokenoya practised pharmacy in Benin for nine years and worshipped with the Uwasota Church of Christ, where he continued to serve as church secretary until 2012. After relocating to Winnipeg, Canada, he began worshipping with the Central Church of Christ, where he has been serving as the deacon in charge of the worship ministry since 2018.
