BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LABORATORY

Science at HomeActivities and lessons students and their parents can do almost anywhere, created by educators at the Brookhaven National Laboratory. Brookhaven National Laboratory provides opportunities to drive excitement for K-12 students and educators in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by exploring Brookhaven Lab’s research initiatives. Students will learn about the history and research performed at Brookhaven Lab. They will be introduced to nanoscience, synchrotrons, structural biology and more while using inquiry-based experiments and observations at home.

JOHN MARSHALL VIRTUAL WEATHER ASSEMBLY

Give your students something unique and entertaining at the same time with virtual learning with the Virtual Weather Assembly. Connecting with up to 100 students at a time with Zoom. The teacher, principal and or IT person is in control with me on the other end. My green screen studio is setup and the students get to see the magic of how TV weather gets done. They also get the curriculum which is age appropriate. They can ask questions, etc.The link is below:

Live From Surgery Opens a Window Into Operating Rooms Students Watch Real-Time Surgery While Conversing with the Medical Team. We’ll continue to serve the public virtually by working with schools to invite students to participate in our flagship education program, Live From Surgery, and experience the excitement of an operating room through a high-def connection at no cost. We’ll also create new programming—on science topics of the day such as coronavirus—that we’ll release through streaming and our social media platforms.

Utilizing ZOOM or Skype or your schools’ channel for video conferencing, your students can experience physics like never before! Students will have a chance to interact with a real scientist and choose the demonstrations they would like to see. Every interactive hour features engaging, entertaining, and educational demonstrations of light, motion, heat, sound, electricity, modern physics, plasma, magnetism, and more.
