BASH THE TRASH
Bash the Trash is offering FREE online mini-shows available to anyone with a link. Our next free mini-show will be on Tuesday 3/24 at 11 AM EST featuring percussion instruments, and will include instructions on how to build instruments at home. We post the YouTube livestreaming link on our Bash the Trash Facebook page about five minutes before the program, and then anyone with that link can view the show. Afterwards we will post the recording of the presentation on our Bash the Trash YouTube channel so people can watch it anytime. Music Technology Virtual Movie Trailer WorkshopsUsing your schools existing e-learning applications, Brent Daniels brings the techniques and technology he uses to produce and compose music for some of Hollywood’s biggest movie trailers (such as Marvel’s Black Panther & Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time) to the virtual classroom. Program content is variable depending on grade and experience level, making this online workshop suitable for grades 4 - 12, accommodating students with no musical background all the way up to experienced musicians, budding music producers or composers interested in a career in music. In a typical virtual workshop for students with little or no musical training, Brent will:
- Show students one or more of the trailers in which his music is used and play the original music composed and produced for the trailers.
- Break down sonic and musical components from his music which are synced by trailer editors with the film’s visuals.
- Introduce students to the concepts in sound design, composition, and music production necessary for trailer music production
- Combine those elements to create a short example of a trailer-style music cue.

On-line virtual "Music of the Earth" programs for reduced fees. Program is either 2-way, interactive video-conferencing (Zoom, etc..), or live streaming. The presentations are demonstrations and explanations of the instruments and cultures, with interactive elements where viewers can respond by making sounds, singing, clapping, and even marching and dancing in their viewing spaces if appropriate. If time permits, there can also be Q&A at the end via chat and comments.
Fees can vary depending on the size of the school, # of shows, etc.
General fee is $200 for a 30-40 minute show, and $100 for each additional presentation
