Due to the ice/snowstorm on Sunday (1/25), the Bayhill Pointe Homeowners Association has closed access to their clubhouse. They will advise us when it can be opened for tax services. Please check back here daily for an update. They are hoping to reopen midweek (on or about 2/4) but that is only an estimate.

Tax-Aide, the nation’s largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance service where trained volunteer counselors prepare and electronically file Federal and Virginia income tax returns for free, with an emphasis on senior (60+) and lower-income taxpayers.
The Tax-Aide program, sponsored by the AARP Foundation and the Internal Revenue Service, began in 1968 in response to the need of senior citizens for quality assistance in filing their income tax returns. Membership in AARP is not required, and there is no minimum age.
Tax-Aide counselors complete and e-file Federal 1040 tax forms and many related tax schedules. They also complete and e-file Virginia tax forms. Each year, new and returning counselors receive free, comprehensive tax preparation training in cooperation with the IRS.
The AARP Foundation is AARP’s affiliated charity. Foundation programs provide security, protection and empowerment for older persons in need.
Low-income older workers receive the job training and placement they need to rejoin the workforce. The foundation’s litigation staff protects the legal rights of older Americans in critical health, long-term care, and both consumer and employment situations. Additional programs provide information, education and services to ensure that people over 50 lead lives of independence, dignity and purpose. Foundation programs are funded by grants, tax-deductible contributions and AARP.
