Artifacts
The artifact that I use was a lesson plan that I created during student teaching, which was for. I made changes to my lesson to best fit the student's needs by what accommodations I needed to make during my lesson. My artifacts best accommodate the students to ensure they would succeed through feedback and adjust lesson plans to keep the students on task and engaged.
Connection to the IPTS standard
The lesson demonstrated differential for all students in class and kept students engaged and on task throughout. I believe that all students should be accommodated in the classroom because all students learn differently and have different abilities. The lesson kept students engaged and on task throughout. The classroom respected one another by allowing students to take turns by raising their hands. All students also enable students to answer and understand being the speaker and listener to accommodate one another. 3C) understands cultural, linguistic, cognitive, physical, and social, and emotional differences, and considers the needs of each student when planning instruction; The lessons/assessments I did with the students best fit the needs of each student.
Description of what was Learned
I learned that every student in the classroom should be accommodated with every lesson that is done. When the teacher knows how her students learn, the teacher can adapt lessons and how she teaches to make sure her students are on task and progressing to help them succeed.

Artifacts
During my college course, we had to learn that through the use of inclusion classes, mainstreaming, and individualized education plans, the needs of each individual student are should be met. Students with disabilities need accommodations and modifications, to meet the success of the child. Accommodation changes how a student access information, participates in school activities, and demonstrates learning but does not change the curriculum. Modification however changes the curriculum, changes what is being taught or what the students are expected to learn and demonstrate. This will help me as I am preparing my lesson plans.
Connection to the IPTS standard
Through my student teaching, I was able to work hand in hand with my cooperative teacher and observe her accommodation and how she modify instructions. As an indicator “works with others to adapt and modify instruction to meet individual student needs” (3P).
Description of what was Learned
This artifact allowed me to understand that every student in the classroom should be accommodated with every lesson done. Through my cooperative teacher, I learned how she modified word problems with smaller numbers and modified the constitution test to pictures and fewer words. We need to know and follow the accommodations and modifications for every child to assure their success and meet their goals.
