Dr. Vinit Jakhetiya (Ph.D, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology)

I've returned back to academia and working as an assistant professor at IIT, Jammu. Previously, I was working as a Senior Engineer (R & D) at the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI). Before that, I worked as a project officer at the School of computer engineering, at Nanyang Technological University ( NTU), Singapore. I was working with Prof Weisi Lin and my research areas are Visual Perception, the application of visual perception for image processing, and medical imaging.  

From Nov-2017 to Dec 2017, I visited the Multimedia Signal Processing Laboratory of Prof. Dietmar Saupe from the University of Konstanz, Germany.  

From 2011-2016, I worked as the PhD Candidate in the Department of Electronic and computer engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong. I was a member of the Multimedia Technology Research Center (MTREC) of HKUST, under the supervision of Prof. Oscar C. Au and Prof. Matthew Mckay
