I am an Italian millennial who likes tensors and group actions. 

In my research I particularly get fascinated by unifying themes and brindges between different areas of mathematics. I am also intrigued by mutual contributions between pure mathematics and other life sciences.

I really enjoy confrontations and collaborations, which in my opinion are a fundamental component of this work. I believe in the value of academic community. I am committed to team-building among colleagues and like organising monthly dinners (and hikes in the warm season) with them.

I firmly believe in an inclusive mathematical community which stands up for democracy, equality and freedom as intrinsic and fundamental values of science and research.

Besides this, I value good food and good wine. I regularly practise weightlifting and gymnastic, and occasionally enjoy football and indoor bouldering. I am always excited to travel (less when Lufthansa cancels flights or DB announces delays). The sea is my home, but I also love other water surfaces, especially at sunset.
