I also maintain a background in cognitive science and the philosophy of mind. My scholarship tends to focus on structural issues in linguistics and moral psychology.
Most recently, I am involved in debates about whether Large Language Models capture the core characteristics of human language, with some of my work appearing in AI & Society, Biolinguistics, and the Cambridge University Press.
I have also spoken on these topics, including at a conference on cognitive science and human rights at the University of Zurich.
