PhD Opening 1: This is an open-ended PhD position in the area of Speech and Audio Processing. Applicants will have, or be close to completing, a Masters in ECE, CSE or (applied) mathematics. Foundation in topics such as signal processing, machine learning or deep learning and experience with libraries such as TF/Keras or PyTorch is desirable. Experience with one of the deep learning frameworks and/or speech and audio tools such as Nvidia-Nemo, Kaldi, Speech-Brain, TF-ASR, Festival is essential.

PhD Opening 2: This is an open-ended PhD position suitable for a candidate with a strong background in one of these or related areas: functional approximation theory, harmonic analysis, random matrix theory or information theory applied to inverse problems in speech/audio processing.

Candidates should have BTech/MTech/MSc in Mathematics/ECE/CSE or related disciplines. Minimum 7.5 CGPA in UG and PG degrees. Strong coding skills in Python. Experience with deep learning frameworks and/or speech and audio tools such as Nvidia-Nemo, Kaldi, Speech-Brain, TF-ASR, Festival is desirable if you have ECE/CS background.

Research Assistant Opening:  This position is in the area of Topological Data Analysis in collaboration with Prof. Sumantra D. Roy from IIT Delhi. The position is for a joint IIITD-IITD project on developing methods to evaluate transfer learning in deep models. Applicants will have or be close to completing a Masters in (applied) topology, geometry, numerical linear algebra or machine learning. Foundation in topics such as harmonic analysis, machine learning or deep learning is a plus. Experience in computer programming and computational mathematics is desirable. There is a possibility for the strong candidate to join as a regular PhD student at IIITD/IITD.
