Talk title: Elevating Senior Care: Impedance Control and Learning from Human to Robot via Digital Twins.
Abstract: As the global population ages, the demand for advanced senior care solutions grows increasingly urgent. This presentation introduces an integrated approach combining the service mobile humanoid “GARMI” with digital twins, emphasizing sophisticated impedance control for a range of tasks from grasping and manipulation to whole-body compliance. GARMI utilizes this impedance control to ensure safe and adaptable interactions, while digital twins enhance the learning of manipulation strategies and provide both real-time and offline monitoring of interactions with seniors and their environments across health and daily care scenarios. The data recorder feature is designed to address legal and practical aspects of data management, ensuring optimized performance and responsiveness. By focusing on human-like adaptation and safety, this approach aims to transform senior care, delivering personalized support and fostering technological innovation.
