If you have taken Computer Applications and Business Applications, you can earn a Math credit!
TVCC college credits are available for this class. Business Applications qualifies as an Applied Art, Math, or Career-Tech credit.
Students will be an employee/stakeholder in a school business designed to prepare students for gainful employment. Students will pass state testing and be a Certified Foodhandler. Some of the topics covered will be: *customer relations, *counting back change, *teamwork, *workplace behavior, *body language, *work ethic, *communication, and *decision-making/problem solving. Some time outside of the classroom will be required.
This class also prepares students to be competitive in technology and business skills. Students have the opportunity for self directed learning of A+ (computer hardware), architecture & landscape,GPS, Web design and other miscellaneous computer programs. Students will also advance their skills learned in Computer Applications, learn MS Access, and refine their job skills by conducting workplace simulations. Job materials, scholarships, and college applications are units available to seniors.
