It all started over 20 years ago, when Mrs. Sharp the Business and Computer Apps teacher, and Mrs. Hart had an espresso coffee cart. From then on it faded away, and in 2008 the librarian Mrs. Faw talked to Mr. Keele the principal about having a coffee shop in the school library. Mr. Keele thought that the room and facility in Mr. Paulsens' classroom would be best. Then Mr. Paulsen, Mrs. Faw, and Mr. Keele thought that having a coffee shop would be part of a business class and they came to an agreement of having the coffee shop in Mr. Paulsens' Room. The money that was involved to help this become a success was from Career Technical Education funds, which allowed us to buy equipment for the coffee shop. The coffee shop started in the back office of Mr. Paulsens' room which was limited in space. To relieve the lack of space, Mr. Paulsen requested a remodel of the office space in his classroom. Thanks to the hard work of Mr. Armstrong and Mr. Stonebarger, two of the maintenance staff, the Viking Brüi Coffee Shop is now an awesome place to make coffees and smoothies. The coffee shop is open during sporting events and school hours and is self-supporting. In 2010, the coffee shop was officially named the Viking Brüi.
