Multi-Beverage Flask Design

Corporate office catering staff needs an easy to use container to carry multiple hot liquid beverages simultaneously at the conference tables to avoid going back and forth and disturbing the meetings to offer diverse options. The flask should be able to retain high temperature for long meetings to avoid repeated reheating of the liquids, so that it saves time and effort for the employees.

Inclusivity in Design

Problem statement: Uni-Remote Control

If we look at in our houses there are lot of remotes for different devices and equipment. For example:

1. Television (for different brand different one)

2. Direct to home (DTH) service setup box

3. Digital versatile disc (DVD) player

4. Home theatre

5. Speakers

6. Wireless remote-control light

7. IOT (Inter of things) devices control via mobile app

8. Air condition

9. Smart electric fan

10. Smart devices monitoring

And much more…...

Explanation: We living in technology era. Every day the things are going more and more advance for better human living (comfortable life), and saving the time. Each day lot of technology are invented in the market people consume that, and business growing. actually, we all are surrounded by the technology. It starts with zip of the pant to tip of the aeroplane. Now days we all are using different devices for the entrainment, knowledge, comfort, working etc. and we also carry different remotes for different example TV, fan, light, speaker, AC, DTH etc.

So, it creates difficulty to carry all simultaneously. For example:

1. Lot of cells required

2. Space problem

3. Confusion

4. Complex, so home member always calls us for support.

5. Costly

6. Transportation problem

7. Chances of damage high (due to kids)

Etc….

Ques 1. What does inclusion mean in this context? What principles of inclusion are not being followed?

Solution: here we are using inclusion design to solve the problem, that means at the place of multiple remotes we can use a single remote to control all the digital equipment. That will be helpful for every member of the family. Like kids, children, adult and elders.

1. Elder only need to understand (learn) working of a single remote.

2. Easy to carry and travel.

3. Low maintenance cost.

Extend the solution to everyone:

Here we not considering those people who cannot afford the television and other expensive devices due financial weak situation, but with this idea we can reduce the cost upto some extent so might be they can be afford.

Ques 2. Who are the users that you should interview to understand the problems they may be facing with that item?

Solution: users will be every one, each age group like kids, children’s, adult, elder. Each gender like men, women, other everyone.

Ques 3. What questions will you ask them (please list)?

Solution: Questions should be on there experience based, and what much they worry and seeking for the solution. Questions are listed below:

1. How many devices do you have?

2. What are those devices?

3. Are you using that?

4. If yes, how much time you spent on using digital devices?

5. If no. what king of difficulty you observed that user faces?

6. How you access them like via remote or manual?

7. Do you face any difficulty while using multiple devices?

8. What is those difficulty?

9. Is any solution being possible for the problem?

10. If yes, what is the solution?

11. If no, we are working on that project would you like to suggest something?

12. If yes, what is the suggestion?

13. Do you like to mention any other difficulty apart from remote complexion?

14. If yes what is the difficulty?

Thankyou for your valuable feedback.

Ques d. What could be the probable root causes of the problem (make a fishbone

diagram)?

Solution: the root cause of the problem is compatibility of different devices is fulfilling by using multiple remotes that creates complexity and burden over the users.

We can easily understand the problem by bellow fishbone diagram.

01. Learning

12th standard

Subject: physics

Topic: Electric circuits

Level in Digital Bloom's Taxonomy: Activity

Here students will learn about the electric circuits, magnetic field and electric field. how current flows in wire, what is the effect of various electronic equipment like resistance, potential meter.

Learning Activity at this level: students can perform the activity in class or on digital tools to understand the concept, working and what are the effects of the other attributes.

Technology Tools that will be use: TINKERCAD, Potentiometers, The Wheatstone Bridge, Accelerometers

For support assessment: Presentation, ppt, Teams.

Favourite Tool: TINKERCAD

Use of the chosen tool:

For this activity the active participation of students requires that moderators should be there to assist the problem of the students. Each student can log on to the TINKERCAD interface (

either on website or on application).

Tinkercad is a free-of-charge, online 3D modelling and electric circuit learning program that runs in a web browser and in computer applications. Since it became available in 2011 it has become a popular platform for learning electric circuits, by performing simulation activity.

The virtual electric equipments like, bulb, wire, resistance, voltage meter, ampere meter etc. are available and all the function is working on the same principal of the physics. So, student can perform the task by their own. And can learn the basics of the electric circuits.

The instant seamless output result will motivate the student to perform the multiple action, so possibly a wide range of directions opened up. To relate, conclude and analyse the electrical circuits, and also to the problem-solving assessment.

2. Learning

10th standard

Subject: Social science (History)

Topic: Nationalism in India

Level in Digital Bloom's Taxonomy: Remembering

Learning Activity at this level: students have to memorise the basic concepts of how the time had changed, what are the various factors which affect the most nationalism in Indians.

Technology Tools that will be used: Wikipedia, Google earth, Civilisations AR, The History of Everything.

For support assessment: Presentation, ppt, Teams.

Favourite Tool: Wikipedia

Use of the chosen tool:

Everyone is pretty much familiar with Wikipedia, Wikipedia is a free encyclopaedia, written collaboratively by the people who use it. It is a special type of website designed to make collaboration easy, called a wiki. Many people are constantly improving Wikipedia, making thousands of changes per hour. And almost all kinds of details, data and knowledge are available there.

Students can easily search the content on Wikipedia's website. The various information, articles, pictures, videos and references will help to better understand the scenario and memorise the data. A lot of people's personal experience and the evidence from museums preserve resources that will help to analyse and predict the environment that will help students to better visualize, sense and for making constructive base.

Students can also add their valuable feedback, for the specific part. And if that is found useful then Wikipedia will update that on their portal.
