TOOLS LABS

TOOL 01: VUE

Vue happens to be a sensible and lightweight JavaScript framework that is JavaScript-based and provides sophisticated web tools for creating modernistic front-end web apps and SPAs. It’s furthermore considered to be progressive and versatile given that it enables change creation in an app code without impacting the core features. This provides you with an opportunity to create a progressive user interface. Vue furthermore helps to extend the capabilities of a web app with customized modules, high decoupling, in addition to visual components.

Let’s know here pros and cons of VueJS:

Pros of Vue

1. Progressive

It is possible to gradually migrate or integrate Vue into the code while creating components without wasting any time for development.

2. Conventional

Vue helps to make writing boilerplate code simple by using in-built solutions for developing state support for handling animations and components. The traditional approach makes the entire process of development with Vue speedier.

3. Effective Size

With every single new Vue version that is released, the framework becomes faster and lighter. In case you hire Vue.JS developers, Vue’s optimization ability allows them to emphasize feature enhancements more than code tweaking or debugging.

4. Functional Extension

Vue provides a set of additional API features that happen to be function-based, which enable the composition of component logic to be extensive and flexible. Consequently, application components turn out to be more extendable and readable when it comes to functionality.

Cons of Vue

1. Community

Vue has got a community lacking in language understandability. With Vue being well-known in areas around China, most of the discussions happen to be in Chinese, thus making it quite challenging for developers who are English-speaking to learn the framework.

2. Code Reactivity

Vue’s two-way binding character is useful for creating and syncing components across an app. This leads to the rendering of information chunks brought on by the DOM.

3. Support

Vue is nevertheless considered to be a young platform. Its community is comparatively small, and therefore, programmers usually face challenges while handling issues arising for large-scale projects.

TOOL 04: 3D Printer

Digital fabrication technology, also referred to as 3D printing or additive manufacturing, creates physical objects from a geometrical representation by successive addition of materials. 3D printing technology is a fast-emerging technology. Nowadays, 3D Printing is widely used in the world. 3D printing technology is increasingly used for the mass customization, production of any type of open-source designs in the field of agriculture, healthcare, the automotive industry, locomotive industry, and aviation industries. 3D printing technology can print an object layer by layer deposition of material directly from a computer-aided design (CAD) model. This paper presents an overview of the types of 3D printing technologies, the application of 3D printing technology, and lastly, the materials used for 3D printing technology in the manufacturing industry.

its a very interesting tool, widely use for online collaboration. having lot of features like personations, optimization but if you are interested to get extremes version all king of access you have to some fee, it is not free tool.

in the pandemic it shares rises, multi-big educational and RND department using it for online collaboration for organizing various online events like workshop, presentation, conference and much more.

This is what the Metaverse means to us. It's not about virtual reality or gaming or NFTs on the blockchain, though there will be aspects of each. The Metaverse is about how people interact with each other and the spaces they create. It's a virtual layer that gives a sense of place, and connects people across many different contexts. Ultimately, it will change the way we think about physical location, and create opportunity and connection for people, no matter where they are.

While the Metaverse is still in its infancy, it isn't a far-off, sci-fi future—it's already happening today, with Gather.

We've started with a platform that combines a 2D game-like interface with video-chat. Through our customization tools, our users have extended this far beyond what we expected.

All of the recent momentum towards building the Metaverse is exciting: it's a step towards a better future. However, having some of the world's largest companies increasingly prioritizing the Metaverse means it's important to get it headed in the right direction now—a Metaverse shaped by the collective good rather than by a few powerful corporations.

Done correctly, we believe the Metaverse will be as much of a positive force as the Internet has been. We hope you join us in this movement—whether that be working at Gather, building on Gather, or being a part of the broader ecosystem!

A commercial website that does fancy charts essentially… but it’s probably more than that, not just nicely presented but how the numbers are represented and what they mean - probably in a business-sense seems to be at the forefront of what the site is all about at least in a cursory look at it…

I’m not personally sure how charting exactly tells a story, but have a look at the examples section on that page it should give you a better idea of what they do.

I hope this helps in some way and I wish you good luck in the future…

All Flourish visualizations are responsive – resizing the window they are being displayed in will make the visualization use the space available – there a few things you can do to improve the way your visualizations look on smaller screens.

1
Preview buttons
Use the preview buttons in the top left corner to preview your visualization at different widths. The first button will display a full-screen preview in a new tab, while the desktop icon shows you the available width in the current window. The next two icons display your visualization at typical tablet and typical mobile phone width. You can click through these to see what your visualizations will look like at different widths. The last button lets you preview it at a custom size. This is helpful to preview what your visualization might look like at different screen sizes, and change some things that don't work ideally.

2
Adding a fixed aspect ratio
Some templates offer the possibility of adding a fixed aspect ratio. This is helpful if some of your labels aren't being displayed because the height of your embed doesn't allow it. Let's take this chart as an example:
While all the labels are displaying on desktop, they might be cut off on mobile because there isn't enough available space:

One way to avoid this is to add a fixed aspect ratio. To do this, go to the
Aspect ratio setting within the Chart styles settings, and set it to something quite high, like 100 or 200. You can also supply a separate aspect ratio for desktop and mobile – this is useful because often you will need your chart to be taller on mobile.

This should fix the issue of some of the labels disappearing on mobile:

3
Displaying axis ticks at an angle
Another issue that can occur in our Line, bar, pie as well as our Scatter template is that some of the axis ticks will be excluded on mobile. This is to ensure they don't overlap. Sometimes, it might be important to keep certain axis labels though, especially if they contain words. Here's an example of axis labels being excluded on mobile because they are being displayed with a degree of 0.
To avoid this, we recommend using a slight angle for your tick labels.
To change the angle of your tick labels in our Line, bar, pie template, go to the
X axis settings and find the section Ticks & Labels. The example below is using an angle of 30 degrees, making all labels are visible on mobile. The same settings are available for the Y axis.
4
Displaying labels above bars
When visualizing your data with bars, you might experience the issue that some of your labels are being removed off at certain screen sizes. To avoid this, you can display them above your bars.
To display your labels above your bars instead of in the axis, go to the
Labels settings and select Above bars. You can also supply the size, color, and whether you would like them to be bold.

5
Embedding your charts using our script embed
We recommend embedding your charts with our script embed, as this will allow them to redraw with the available space, which is especially visible in templates with grid and table views. Our grid of line charts, for example, will display as four columns with one small multiple each in the desktop version:
And two columns of charts on mobile:

Scratch is great to get started, because it’s fun and you don’t need to learn the syntax of any language.

Fun and no syntax are some of the 2 most important points to get children get interest in programming.

With Scratch you’ll learn some very basic algorithm concepts, such as loops, conditions, creating a temporary variable.

But once you’ve made some progress, it’s time to learn real programming ! You can’t just stay with Scratch and become an intermediate or expert developer.

Scratch is using Blockly from Google. One of the main point of Blockly is to :

  • Make children be able to run a few programs without being discourage

  • After a few exercises, also show the code of the program

  • In the last exercise of the program, give the student a problem where he/she has to write code.

There is no “complex” stuff in Blockly and Scratch. This was made on purpose, so people don’t continue to learn Scratch forever and start to learn real programming. See Scratch as an “introduction” to programming.

Computer Science for majors

Project based learning is being adopted all around the world. It’s a fancy way of saying: learning through building things.

This an oversimplification but in my mind there are really two ways you can start a computer science course:

  • Top down: begin with the big picture and concepts of efficient well designed software using a quickly productive language.

  • Bottom up: choose a low level language and focus on the jargon of typing, error handling, memory management, etc.

Tinkercad is a free, easy-to-use web app that equips the next generation of designers and engineers with the foundational skills for innovation: 3D design, electronics, and coding!

TinkerCAD is a 3D designing software which is really simple. Picking up the basics will take maybe one hour. Building is done by a combination of some basic shapes which are available both as solid and hollows. Some standard complicated pre-built shapes are also available.

It is very useful if someone is just getting into 3D printing. Or if someone is planning to build maybe a piece of furniture or something. The design can be made studied and flaws identified easily before the actual build is started.

Give it a try! It’s nice and simple (and free)

There are a lot of benefits, and it depends on who is viewing it as a benefit.

To a designer:

  • It helps you design faster. Fast could mean so many things, but if you have ever used Photoshop, Sketch or any comparable interface design tool, you can definitely achieve most of the interface creation features they offer, and do them faster in Figma.

  • It helps you prototype. Most other web design tools require different plugins like Marvel, Invision e.t.c to create web prototypes. With Figma, you can prototype your hover effects, scrollability e.t.c inside of Figma.

To a developer

  • It helps hand off code and assets. Just by clicking on the Code panel on the Figma app, developers can have access to CSS snippets and download all assets used in your web design.

To client

  • They can participate in the design process. Figma lives on the web and by sharing them a link to the web design they can view it and make early contributions as needed.

I have a 1 hour class on Skillshare where I specifically went through how to design landing pages on Figma. I showed a few tricks like creating SVGs, designing in the browsers and a host of other fun tricks.

Mind map provides a clear way to organize your thoughts. For example, how can I create a mind map, before I plan my website structures?

First of all, you must confirm your website category. I want to build a technology information website. So I will think about all the factors to build a website.

  1. Structures: News, Reviews, Blog, Support, Contact Us, About Us.

  2. Then you can start making your mind map with the structure.

  3. You don’t need to worry that your thought is unorderly. Just take down what you think. After that, you can organize your mind map.

How to do ?

Mind Mapping is an efficient and powerful way to organize ideas and note things that need to be memorized.

To create a mind map, I always use this amazing tool called “Mind Master”, which is one of the best mind mapping tools available on the internet as it is easy to use and serves all kinds of purposes.

Before creating a mind map, I will always make sure that I am completely clear about the topics and the information I will include in my mind map. You can yourself create some amazing mind maps using MindMaster tools by just following these easy steps mentioned below:
