National Science Day
On 28th February, 2026 during assembly, we celebrated National Science Day - explaining its significance and encouraging curiosity. We also felicitated our students who participated in the Vigyan Mela at Shiksha Sopan, with a token of appreciation. We are so proud of our young science enthusiasts!

'Vigyateet' - A Science Summer Camp was organised for kids from grades 6th to 10th from Opportunity School and nearby schools.
Day 1
Children gathered to learn how triangles show interesting properties which can be utilised in real life. They built an equipment to measure the angle that a given building makes with the ground.
Day 2
Children measured the height of buildings using angle measuring equipments and basics of Trigonometry.
Day 3
Children continued learning about triangles. They proved Pythagoras theorem on graph paper. They used pinhole camera to form an image of the sun to measure its diameter utilising properties of similar triangles.
Day 4 & Day 5
Children explored electronic circuits. They were introduced to breadboards and its connections. They learnt how electronic components interact. They illuminated their own LED bulbs and made LDR circuits on breadboard replicating street light. They also gained insights into essential components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes and LDR.
Day 6
Children took different plants such as onions, alovera, and peeled their epidermal layer to observe under microscope. It was thrilling to see an entire world of cells in such a thin and small piece of plant.
Day 7
We had a fun game cum quiz about plant cells. Children not only answered quiz questions, but they also participated in challenge rounds such as riddles and enactments where they acted like one of the organelles of the plant cells.
Day 8
Children were introduced to the process of distillation. They saw how we made distilled rose water with fresh rose leaves. They also observed splitting of water and its solution with table salt and sugar when they passed current through it. (Electrolysis)
