Created for: Grade 12 History | Curro Pretoria, 2025
link: Soweto Uprising, Virtual Tour
Context: I created this virtual tour to help learners explore the Soweto Uprising without leaving the classroom. It replaced a traditional textbook activity and encouraged inquiry-based learning.
Learner Response: The class was highly engaged, and several students asked follow-up questions about the Uprising – a sign of deeper curiosity.
Grade [9] S.S: Geography | Warburton Combined School, 2025
Lesson Objective: The difference between Weathering, Erosion and Deposition ( W.E.D)
CAPS Alignment: CAPS History Grade 9 – Term 3| W.E.D.
Teaching Strategy: Source-based analysis, group discussion/ peer-based learning
Differentiation: visual representation in the form of videos and models for learners with challenges. Providing critical questioning and project-based assessment for advanced learners.
Reflection:
âś… What went well: Learners were highly engaged during the practical demonstration with the model I had made.
❌ What challenged me: The learners had some issues with differentiating between weathering and erosion, as they are technically the same process but only differ in the length of time it takes to show in the physical world.
🔄 What I would change next time: Allow time to explain using the model and not rush to "get back inside" the class, especially because the students were well behaved.

Grade [11] ENGLISH HL | Ubuhle Bolwazi Secondary School, 2025
Lesson Objective: What makes up a poem and the literary devices used to analyse poetry.
CAPS Alignment: CAPS English Grade 11 – Term 1 | Poetry.Â
Teaching Strategy: Source-based analysis, group discussion, inquiry-based learning.
Differentiation: I chose to group the strongest and weakest learners with difficult poems; their collaboration proved to be effective.
Reflection:
âś… What went well: Learners were highly engaged during the group "detective work".
❌ What challenged me: They went through the work too quickly, and some groups were too lazy to engage and wanted to copy off of others.
🔄 What I would change next time: Allow more structure for the detective assignment and give each learner a poem to do on their own.
