# Terms of Use
Effective date: April 29, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of Video Editor (the "App"), provided by AppMerge ("AppMerge", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, subscribing to, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

## 1. The App
Video Editor is a mobile video editing app that allows users to import, record, edit, save drafts, and export videos. Features may include trimming, cropping, speed controls, text overlays, stickers, filters, effects, background music, audio controls, draft saving, gallery export, file sharing, and premium editing tools.
The App is provided for personal, creative, and lawful content editing purposes. We may update, modify, add, remove, limit, or discontinue features at any time.
## 2. No Account Required
The App does not require you to create an AppMerge account. Certain features may use app-scoped identifiers, Apple App Store purchase systems, AppActor entitlement management, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and device operating system services to operate the App, verify purchases, restore subscriptions, improve stability, and provide support.
## 3. License to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, as permitted by the applicable app store rules and these Terms.
You may not:
- Copy, redistribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except where expressly allowed by law.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or attempt to derive the source code of the App except where applicable law allows it.
- Circumvent paywalls, entitlement checks, subscription systems, security systems, or usage limits.
- Use the App for unlawful, infringing, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes.
- Interfere with the App, its services, third-party SDKs, StoreKit, AppActor, Firebase, or related systems.
## 4. Your Content
"Your Content" means videos, audio, images, text overlays, stickers, project settings, exports, and other material you import, record, create, edit, save, export, or share using the App.
You keep ownership of Your Content. We do not claim ownership of Your Content.
You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure you have all rights, permissions, and licenses needed to use, edit, export, publish, or share it. This includes rights related to music, recordings, images, people appearing in videos, trademarks, copyrighted works, and any third-party material.
You agree not to use the App to create, edit, export, or share content that:
- Violates any law or regulation.
- Infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Contains unlawful harassment, threats, abuse, exploitation, or harmful conduct.
- Is deceptive, fraudulent, or intended to mislead others.
- Violates the rules of any platform where you upload or share it.
The App processes Your Content primarily on your device. If you export, save to your gallery, share through the system share sheet, or send content to third-party services, those third parties may process Your Content under their own terms and privacy policies.
## 5. Premium Features and Subscriptions
The App may offer premium access through auto-renewable subscriptions, including weekly and yearly plans, or other plans shown in the App or on the App Store.
Premium access may unlock features such as watermark-free exports, pro effects, premium text and sticker tools, full editor access, and other premium functionality described in the App at the time of purchase.
Subscription prices, duration, trial availability, and included features are shown before purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or applicable app store account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription period. Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple account settings or applicable app store account settings.
If a free trial or introductory offer is available, the terms of that offer will be shown before purchase. If you do not cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, your subscription may automatically convert to a paid subscription.
Deleting the App does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel through your app store account settings.
Purchase restoration is available in the App where supported. Restoring purchases checks your app store account for active entitlements and attempts to unlock the corresponding premium access.
Refunds, billing issues, subscription cancellations, and payment disputes are handled by Apple or the applicable app store according to their policies. We do not control Apple's refund decisions.
## 6. App Store Terms
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's applicable terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA"), unless a custom EULA is provided through App Store Connect.
These Terms supplement the applicable app store terms. If there is a conflict between these Terms and mandatory Apple App Store terms, the Apple App Store terms apply to the extent of the conflict.
Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support, warranties, claims, or your use of the App, except as required by applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms where required by Apple's terms and may enforce the relevant provisions.
## 7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the App to violate copyright, music licensing, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights.
- Upload, publish, or share content through third-party platforms if you do not have the right to do so.
- Attempt to bypass subscription requirements, entitlement checks, purchase verification, or technical restrictions.
- Use automated tools, bots, scripts, or abuse methods to interfere with the App or related services.
- Use the App in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the App, AppActor, Firebase, Apple services, or other systems.
## 8. Local Storage, Drafts, and Exports
The App may save draft project files, thumbnails, extracted audio, and exported videos locally on your device. You are responsible for managing your device storage and backing up content you want to keep.
We are not responsible for loss of local projects, media files, exports, or edits caused by device failure, operating system behavior, deletion, app removal, storage cleanup, interrupted exports, permission changes, or other events outside our reasonable control.
## 9. Third-Party Services
The App may rely on third-party services and platform services, including Apple App Store, StoreKit, AppActor, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, media pickers, file pickers, camera, microphone, photo library, gallery saving, sharing, and review prompt services.
Third-party services are provided by their respective providers and may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, third-party content, or third-party processing outside our control.
## 10. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and retained when you use the App. By using the App, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

## 11. Updates and Availability
We may provide updates, bug fixes, performance improvements, new features, or changes to the App. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App or premium features.
We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or compatible with every media file. Video editing and export performance may vary based on device model, operating system version, source media format, file size, storage availability, and device conditions.
## 12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
We do not warrant that:
- The App will meet all of your requirements.
- The App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or always available.
- All media files will import, edit, preview, or export successfully.
- Exports will be free from artifacts, compatibility issues, corruption, or quality differences.
- The App will be compatible with every device, operating system version, video codec, audio codec, file format, or third-party app.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
## 13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AppMerge and its affiliates, service providers, licensors, and partners will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of content, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, device issues, business interruption, or costs of substitute services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the App or these Terms will be limited to the amount you paid for the App or subscription during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or 50 USD, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
## 14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AppMerge, its affiliates, service providers, licensors, and partners from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App.
- Your Content.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of law or third-party rights.
- Your publication, distribution, sharing, or commercial use of edited or exported content.
## 15. Termination
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the App or certain features if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, attempt to bypass subscription or security systems, or create legal or security risk.
You may stop using the App at any time. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription; subscriptions must be canceled through your app store account settings.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including sections related to ownership, subscriptions already purchased, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and disputes.
## 16. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, interface, branding, logos, icons, graphics, text, and other materials, is owned by AppMerge or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not use our name, branding, logos, or app assets in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or ownership without our permission.
Open-source or third-party components included in the App remain subject to their respective licenses.
## 17. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable consumer protection laws. If mandatory local law gives you additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.
## 18. Governing Law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or region may still apply.
## 19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and may provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
