Effective July 2026 · App: VidCompress · Android com.vidcompress.videocompressor · iOS com.app.videocompress
This Privacy Policy explains how VidCompress ("we", "us", or the "App") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile application. By using the App you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.
VidCompress processes your media (compression, trimming, conversion, and other tools) entirely on your device using on-device processing. We do not upload, transmit, collect, or store your videos, photos, or their contents on any server. Media access is used only to let you select files and save results back to your device.
To run ads, understand app performance, and fix crashes, our third-party partners may automatically collect: device and mobile advertising identifiers (the Google Advertising ID on Android, and the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS), a coarse/approximate location derived from your IP address, device information (model, OS version, language, network type), and app usage and diagnostic (crash) data. This information is generally not used to personally identify you.
We (and our partners) use the information above to: display and measure advertising; keep the App reliable by diagnosing crashes and errors; understand which features are used so we can improve the App; and remember your in-app settings and preferences.
The App is supported by advertising through Google AdMob. Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized (based on your Advertising ID and inferred interests) or non-personalized. In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland we ask for your consent before serving personalized ads using Google's consent management platform. On iOS, we additionally ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before your IDFA is used to track you across apps and websites; if you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized. You can change your ad-consent choices at any time from Settings → Manage ad privacy in the App. You can also reset your advertising identifier in your device settings, or withdraw iOS tracking permission at any time under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
We use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Google AdMob (advertising), Google/Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics (crash reporting), Firebase Performance Monitoring, Firebase Cloud Messaging (push notifications), Firebase Remote Config, and Google Play Services — see Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Apple, for App Store distribution and, on iOS, app analytics you may opt into at the device level — see Apple's Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
For any future in-app purchases: Google Play Billing, the Apple App Store, and RevenueCat (revenuecat.com/privacy).
If you are in these regions, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases are your consent (for personalized advertising) and our legitimate interests (for analytics, security, and app functionality). To withdraw or change ad consent, open Settings → Manage ad privacy. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below.
If you are a California resident (or a resident of a U.S. state with similar laws), you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your personal information for money. To opt out of personalized advertising, use Settings → Manage ad privacy, or contact us below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Because media is processed on-device, we do not retain your media. Data collected by our advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting partners is retained according to their respective policies. App settings are stored locally on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App.
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
We rely on reputable providers that use industry-standard safeguards to protect information. Because our partners operate globally, information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
If you have questions, requests, or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us at innovareappdevelopers@gmail.com.
