If you don't have breakout rooms feature in your Google Meet, use this template for a solution. This allows you to create rooms for your students so they can meet their group mates for an activity. You will also be given access to the instructions on how you can create this template and on how to implement it using Google Slides.
This is a customizable template. This board game made in Google Slides can be used to engage students during class discussions. The mechanics are based on familiar board games. Virtual dice will be rolled, then students will move the chip to the tile once the task or question in it is answered.
Students will use the template to come up with 3 statements (2 truths and a lie). Then, other students will guess which one is the lie. The statements could be about a topic in your subject. This template can also be used for getting to know activity or any icebreaker. There are designated text fields so students are guided where to enter texts.Â
This template is EDITABLE. You can add questions according to your subject area. This fun online group game allows students to actively participate in class discussions. This can also serve as a review before closing a topic or just an icebreaker. Anyone from the class can answer. If correct, the student removes (Ctrl + X) the unhappy face to reveal the happy one. The point goes to the group. The group with the least number of unhappy faces wins!
To review past lessons or introduce new topics, I created this online group activity. The students answer the task in the tile of the board. If correct, they can park the car. Players take turns putting their cars in empty squares. The first group to put 3 cars in a row (horizontal, diagonal, or vertical) wins.
Use this template to monitor your students' level of understanding of the topic. There are 4 reactions. Each reaction will go to an appropriate resource. For example, the first face will go to Google Forms so the teacher will be prompted who are having a hard time understanding the topic, the second face will go to the resource that will reinforce learning, the third face will go to the next topic, and the fourth face will go to a form to inform the teacher that they are willing to help their classmates.
This can be used by students to prepare themselves for the topic discussion. You can insert guide questions that will serve as talking points during the meeting. Students answer them beforehand. Through this template, students will be more confident in sharing their ideas. This is editable so you can insert the questions according to your subject's content area.
Turn your class agenda into a fun adventure interactive slide. Students will go to different stations that will allow them to view your resources. Station 1 is CHECK-IN for attendance and to check the readiness of students. Station 2 is LEARN for the topic of the day. Station 3 is APPLY for knowledge check or performance task of students. Station 4 is REFLECT for students to have a venue to share information and inform you how well they understood the lesson. Below are my templates that you can download, customize, and use for your students.
This is used when creating an adventure-like presentation of the lesson. Students can start filling out the attendance form in the CHECK-IN station, learn the lesson in the LEARN station, put it into application in the APPLY station, and encourage them to REFLECT on the lesson learned.
In celebration of Buwan ng Wika, I created this interactive slide that you can use in giving a guide to students. This slide contains links going to the attendance form, lessons, formative assessment, and reflection. Therefore, students just have one place to go to different learning resources for this particular day.
In celebration of National Heroes Day, I created this interactive slide. It contains four points where you can put the links going to your resources. This will encourage students not only to learn your lessons and to motivate them in doing kindness and making little steps to make the world a better place.
Traditional jeepneys in the Philippines will be replaced by e-jeepneys by the end of the year. Here is an interactive slide showing some of the symbols commonly seen inside a jeepney. Each symbol is linked to a resource. This interactive slide helps students become aware of social issues and at the same time do their tasks on the subject.
