For this project I am identifying and sharing two different examples of information security/cybersecurity in the news that occurred within the last 3 months.

Ransomware & Data Breach at Marquis Software Solutions

Marquis Software Solutions a fintech that provides data and compliance services to lots of U.S. banks experienced a cyberattack on its company's network. The potentially exposed data includes names, addresses, phone numbers, date of births, IDS, and Social Security numbers. These affected over 74 banks, credit unions, and 400,000 customers. Companies like this should not leave their network vulnerable to hackers, as a lot of sensitive information and money is at stake.

What I learned

From this research, I learned about how often cybersecurity issues occur and how vulnerable big-time organizations are.
