I took a class called Civic Service & Engagement my senior year of highschool. Throughout this class I was involved not only within the school but the community. Several projects were done together as a class and several were with smaller groups called our "Impact Projects." This part of my portfolio shows what types of projects I have completed while being in this class and why these forms of impact were chosen.

Answered any questions people had during the event.
Door Prizes at AAHS Prom
This project was started in February and is still in the process.
Explanation of Project: This project was decided and started as a way to make an impact on our highschool's prom. Our goal was to make prom more enjoyable for everyone, like past years many have said it's not, due to the lack of activities to do. We wanted to implement a game option, include more snacks, and door prizes. So we talked to our prom coordinator, Gretta Brunelle to get her imput on this and because prom is about a month away, the only possible thing we could do and add would be door prizes for the students, which would take place at the dance after grand march. As soon as we found out that we could do this, we contacted and visited several different local businesses asking if they would like to donate a basket or gift card for our prom. So far we have gotten donations from 6 different business, some gave us several different things, and we are still in the process of visiting more.
