Alison's family has been involved with Scouts Qld since 2009 when they returned to Australia from Scotland. 

Before she put her hand up to volunteer for the role of Group Leader, Alison was involved in group activities such as fundraising, section camps, transport, etc. Being a parent of 4 very active youth members means there is always something to keep her busy. Alison also actively participates with the Catering team in the Brisbane Gang Show, a Scouting and Girl Guide musical theatre production that has been running since 1952. 

She loves constantly learning from the team of amazing people here at Victoria Point, both adults and youth. Watching the youth transform into confident, accomplished young people who lead by example is awesome!

Chris has been with the Victoria Point Scout Group since he was in the Joey section. That's over 25 years of service with our Group! As well as all that youth service, he has been a leader with the Joey, Scout and Venturer Sections. He's currently our Rover Adviser and he also takes care of our social media pages and website. Chris is currently the  Team Leader of the Brisbane Gang Show Orchestra and also helps manage the bands of Redlands and Rochedale Revues. 

Keith has been involved in scouting since he was 10 years old as a Sea Scout, then Venturer Scout, then Beaver Leader in Scotland (Beavers are the Scottish equivalent of our Joeys). When he and his family moved to Australia his eldest children discovered Scouting. Not long after that their group found out Keith used to be a leader in Scotland, and all of a sudden he was back on board! 

Keith says being part of our scout group is an amazing privilege helping our youth grow and gain self confidence and to believe in themselves. 

Lisa has been in Scouting for many years. After completing Cubs, Scouts and Venturers, she had a break and has now been with us as a Scout Leader for 5 yrs. She enjoys watching the youth develop their skills and become confident contributors to the community as they move through their teen years as a Scout. 

Sally has found being a Scout Leader quite a unique and very rewarding experience. As a child, she wanted to do Scouts but it wasn't an opportunity she could take until she became an adult. Growing up she regularly enjoyed camping and bushwalking. Apart from Scouting, Sally can often be found participating in dog agility, rock n roll dancing, camping, bushwalking and singing along to her favourite entertainer, Dolly Parton. 

Kris was never a scout in his youth, but he did participate in a number of scouting activities, tagging along with his uncle who was a scout leader at their local troop, and his cousin who was a member.

A long standing friendship with Banana ended up with Kris signing up along side Sally to become Scout Leaders with Victoria Point. Kris enjoys spending time with the youth, teaching them the skills and ethos of the Scouting Movement. 

Russell has been right through all the sections - Cubs, Scouts, Venturers and Rovers - as a youth member back in the 80s and early 90s on the northside of Brisbane. Following on from Rovers he was also a member of the "Qld Scout Association 4WD Fellowship" for many years. He is now one of our Cub Scout Leaders here at Victoria Point Scout Group.
