Festivals are adjudicated events, in which the students performs for judges and receives a score, evaluating how they did in their performance. Every year, the Springfield Music Club hosts many events, the highlight of which is the Spring Federation Festival in March - a nationwide festival that is hosted by many local clubs but connected through the NFMC-National Federation of Music Clubs.
**I do not enter students in every festival every year, depending on interest-each event requires a minimum number of judging hours per number of students, which may not be an optimum use of time to judge for one participant**
Students must be willing and dedicated to the event, put in the practice hours, and be willing to act in a professional manner, as there are no cancellations or reschedules (with minimal exceptions).
