Here in BCSO the recruiting Bureau is responsible for new recruits that come into the department. They are also responsible for any and all operations regarding the training department.
Any applicant which is wishing to be hired into the Blaine County Sheriff's Department must undergo a series of examinations and must ensure they pass all of the community requirements before they are considered to be employed by the Sheriff's Department.
The Training Bureau is the primary operation within the Field Training Operations team. The training bureau provides in-service training to fresh recruits hired into the department.
The FTO's are provided with all the information and training they need to be successful within this department to ensure they are prepared to be a training officer for this department.
The Sheriff's Department has very strict requirements which are majority of the time not going to be waived. This candidate requires we're set by the administrative staff of this department. And strictly enforced by the Recruiting Bureau. Some of the requirements are listed below:
Holds a Valid driver's license.
No felony convictions.
Pass medical examination.
Good moral character.
Pass psychological examination.
Training certification for First Aid and CPR
Fingerprint clearance
Complete a law enforcement academy.
Basic police training program
