The Elder Futhark Runes constitute a system for understanding how both planes of reality develop, that is, the physical and the metaphysical, from the following triple perspective of understanding:
The three fundamental phases of the natural cycle of all things, which are birth, development, death and rebirth
The duality, trinity and multiplicity in which the "unity" of the whole always seems to unfold
And third, the inner law of everything that exists in both planes of reality, a law whose form is expressed in the notion of Destiny (or Schicksal in German)
They represent archetypes that make the invisible visible, teach and show the movement or state of the transformation of the other plane to act on it, and are deployed in the manner of a bridge that unites and links the two worlds, the real and the apparent, the invisible and the visible, in the form of an archetype that repeats itself (the one in the multiple) and that signals the displacement or movement of the eternal transformation, and its replica or duplicate on the other plane of reality.
The Elder Futhark type Runes (translated as Ancient Futhark), as we can see in the following image, are made up of twenty-four figures divided into rows of eight. Each of them has its own pronunciation, meaning and potential for psychological and spiritual development.
There are various types or categories of Elder Futhark Runes, some contain paradigmatic or ecstatic characteristics, while others contain energetic or other characteristics. The different Runes can be combined with each other to obtain a Runic word in whose formation two or more Runes participate, combining all the individual and indivisible meanings of the runes that compose them.
