The tools I use the most in my classroom instruction are Screencastify, Peardeck, Quizizz, Classflow, Google Suite, Google Classroom, ZOOM, Code.org, KhanAcademy, Microsoft 365 etc. With the change coming this school year, I am going to need to adapt and streamline what tools I use. There are other tools I use which are in my Edshelf. This next year, CFISD is going to schoology which is new to me so I will need to adapt and streamline how I do things this next year. My favorite educational technology tool is Screencastify because it allows me to create videos and GIFS for classroom instruction. I have been using it for 3 years and students love the videos because they can work at their own pace. I have been using GIFS as I create how to guides which my visual learners appreciate. Peardeck was a new tool that I only was able to use for a month before Covid-19. However, I loved it because educators have so many options of how they present their lessons through a Google Slide. Peardeck allowed for multiple choice, open-ended, drawing, polling etc. questions for engagement. The educator also had the option to make it self-paced or work all together. I highly recommend it, even though I only used it for a short time.
