Student Services

Dear Students,

Several families have inquired if we would be providing refunds because of the campus closure to help slow the spread of the novel COVID-19 virus. VFMAC will be providing a dining credit based on the number of days the campus was closed, adjusted for your individual account details. The amount of the refund will be applied to your account in the form of a dining credit which will either reduce your current balance or roll into next year, reducing next year's bill. Accounts for College Sophomores will be settled after graduation. We will also be providing credits for other unused services, such as our medical management program, E-Battery, etc. Should you have questions or concerns kindly email cadetaccounts@vfmac.edu.

We are pleased to offer this credit, though please know the cost of maintaining campus, teaching cadets, and preparing for next year remain. Some of you have offered to donate back any refund to help VFMAC and other cadet families. If you are interested in donating back your credit, please email our Development Office at development@vfmac.edu.

Once again, we appreciate your continued support, patience and understanding. We hope that you and your family remain safe and well.

Dear Valley Forge Military College Students and Families,

Yesterday, the President of the United States, announced the extension of social distancing guidelines through April 30, 2020. In order to protect the health of the campus community and to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 infection, Valley Forge Military College has extended its online instruction, for all classes, through the end of the spring 2020 semester. This decision is in concert with other colleges and universities in the Greater Philadelphia area.

I acknowledge the disappointment that many of you have completing your Spring 2020 term online, especially those who are completing their degrees this term. To the graduates of the class of 2020, your final semester has been impacted by this unprecedented situation, and we are here to let you know that we remain committed to making your final moments at Valley Forge Military College memorable through acknowledging your accomplishments and conferring your degree. We will share more information regarding our plans for Commencement in the near future.

In the next few days, a plan will be released providing guidance for final removal of all personal belongings that may not have been removed during the initial move out. You will receive specific information on next steps, dates, and processes for retrieving any remaining items.

We understand that this decision is difficult for the entire Valley Forge Military College community, but it is the right decision to make to ensure the overall health of our community. Our main priority is to continue to educate our students and provide them with the support they need to complete this semester successfully. I speak for everyone in the Valley Forge Military College family when I say we truly miss the vibrancy of having students on campus and interacting with you on a daily basis.

We look forward to next year and your return to campus.

Thank you,

Maureen Malone

Dean, Valley Forge Military College
