Overview
Leaderboards (also known as ranking tables) are visual tables that display player scores in real time.
They are designed to encourage competition by showing which players are ranked at the top of the server based on a specific score.
Leaderboards are fully configurable and integrate seamlessly with the Vex Essentials score system
Leaderboards support two sorting modes:
Ascending – The highest score appears at the top
Descending – The lowest score appears at the top
This allows server owners to define whether higher or lower values are considered better.
Each leaderboard is assigned a custom score.
⚠️ Important:
Leaderboard scores are NOT the same as sidebar scores.
For example:
Sidebar score: $money (used only for sidebar display)
Leaderboard score: money
Leaderboards use raw score names, allowing full customization and flexibility.
Open your Admin Menu and navigate to:
Utilities → Leaderboards → Create Leaderboard
Enter the score you want the leaderboard to track.
Example:
money
To view all available Vex Essentials scores that can be used in leaderboards, type the following command in chat:
/scoreboard players add @s
Note:
Do not send the command.
Simply typing it will display all available scores—choose the one you want to use.
Done!
Your leaderboard is now active. Players can compete to reach the top and become #1 on your server.
Leaderboards are implemented as floating texts, so deleting them follows the floating text removal process.
Open your Admin Menu
Go to:
Utilities → Floating Text
Click Delete Floating Text
Select the leaderboard title you want to remove
And that’s it! The leaderboard will be permanently deleted.
