Although we have no way to accurately summarize the prevalence of animal cruelty in the United States, animal cruelty is not uncommon and is gaining the attention of animal welfare advocates and public safety officials alike. The Link Between Animal Cruelty and Violence Against Humans Animal cruelty was regarded as a symptom of moral corruption long before sociological studies began exploring the link between animal cruelty and violence against humans.
