Babylon tower

New Babylon: a city in the year 2046. At the Mariënburgplein in Nijmegen, filmhuis LUX, together with COS Gelderland and Colorful City, is organizing the intercultural experiment Nieuw Babylon, a city in the year 2046, where today's youth are adults and their different cultural backgrounds have merged into a new culture. Antoon Versteegde makes an alternative Tower of Babel with bystanders, built from bamboo sticks that are tied together with rubber bands.

Nieuw Babylon: een stad in het jaar 2046. Op het Mariënburgplein in Nijmegen organiseert filmhuis LUX samen met COS Gelderland en Colourful City het interculturele experiment Nieuw Babylon, een stad in het jaar 2046, waar de jeugd van nu volwassen is en hun verschillende culturele achtergronden zijn versmolten tot een nieuwe cultuur. Antoon Versteegde maakt er met omstanders een alternatieve Toren van Babel, gebouwd van bamboestokken die aaneengeknoopt worden met elastieken.
