Sonsbeek Pavilion 2.0

Under the leadership of Antoon Versteegde, the Arnhem association of architects wanted to visualize a new alternative to Gerrit Rietveld's famous Sonsbeek Pavilion. The garden of the Arnhem Museum was chosen as the location. But it soon turned out that there was a debate about who is responsible if something goes wrong. In the end nothing turned out to be possible, just a thick cross as a marking of the spot, designed by thousands of bamboo sticks stuck upright in the ground.

Sonsbeek Paviljoen 2.0

Het Arnhemse Architecten Gilde wilde onder leiding van Antoon Versteegde een nieuw alternatief visualiseren voor het fameuze Sonsbeek Paviljoen van Gerrit Rietveld. Als locatie werd de tuin van het Arnhemse Museum gekozen. Maar al snel bleek er discussie te ontstaan wie er verantwoordelijk is als er iets mis gaat. Uiteindelijk bleek niets mogelijk, alleen een dik kruis als markering van de plek, vormgegeven door duizenden rechtop in de grond gestoken bamboe stokken.
