Inside Out

During the Textile Biennale in Lausanne, Antoon Versteegde had already impressed the Friends of Fiber Art delegation from America. In the following year they would come to the Netherlands to visit a number of exhibitions. They also wanted to visit Antoon for a studio visit, but he thought it would be better to make an appearance in the Provinciehuis in 's-Hertogenbosch, where the delegation would also come to see the carpets of Magdalena Abakanowicz and others. For this occasion he devised a flag installation at the entrance of the building and a tent-like construction in the center of the main hall.

Binnenste Buiten

Tijdens de Textiel Biënnale in Lausanne had Antoon Versteegde al indruk gemaakt op de delegatie van Friends of Fiber Art uit Amerika. In het jaar daarop zouden zij naar Nederland komen om een aantal tentoonstellingen te bezoeken. Ze wilden ook grag op atelierbezoek komen bij Antoon, maar het leek hem beter om acte de presence te geven in het Provinciehuis in 's-Hertogenbosch, waar de delegatie ook zou komen om de kleden te zien van Magdalena Abakanowicz e.a. Voor deze gelegenheid bedacht hij een vlaggeninstallatie aan de ingang van het gebouw en een tentachtige constructie centraal in de grote hal.
