A Community-Based
Day Program
I envision a community where individuals with disabilities are valued, included, and supported to live meaninful, independent lives.
The Life in Action Community Program empowers individuals of all abilities to thrive in their communities through real-world experiences, skill development, and inclusive engagement.
Who We Are
Parents, educators, and advocates, who want to ensure individuals with a variety of disabilities live full lives as independently as possible.
What Sets Us Apart
Life in Action is not a traditional center-based day program where individuals spend their days in a single facility with limited real-world interaction.
Instead, Life in Action is a community-integrated program where participants actively engage in everyday environments—grocery stores, workplaces, parks, libraries, and local businesses—building practical life skills in real time.
We do not provide passive supervision.
We provide active skill-building, independence-focused, and community-driven experiences.
While many programs prioritize safety through restriction and routine alone, Life in Action prioritizes safe independence, equipping individuals with the skills and confidence to navigate the real world successfully.
This approach leads to stronger outcomes in independence, employment readiness, social connection, and long-term quality of life.
