The problem: Stanford’s ultimate frisbee community (and many other athletic teams) was using an outdated site, workoutlogthing (WOLT), to track workouts of the whole team. Despite functional and experiential limitations, the teams continued to use it because it has very clear and simple functionality not found in other tools.
The solution: 4 Stanford frisbee players (including me) built another tool for our senior software project. Over a year later, the tool was still actively used by the women’s team and some members of the men’s team!
