Vernon Silhouettes Artistic Swimming Club was established in 1982 as the Vernon Silver Stars. The name changed to Vernon Silhouettes Synchronized Swimmers in 2000, and then to the Vernon Silhouettes Artistic Swimming Club in 2020 following the sport name change by FINA.

My name is Katie Hopp, and I am the Head Coach to the Vernon Silhouettes. I have been with the Artistic Swimming community since I was 4 years old. I am the Recreation Programmer for Aquatics at the Vernon Aquatic Center and the club administrator/fill-in coach as needed. I am NCCP Competitive Development certified, AquaGO! Instructor certified, and a Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Trainer.

I began my Artistic Swimming career in Kamloops at the age of 10. As an athlete I had the opportunity to attend Nationals twice. I’ve been coaching for about 20 years, mostly in Kamloops. During this time, I coached Rec level up to National level athletes. I have been coaching Rec in Vernon for the past 5 years. During the day I teacher grade 3 at BX Elementary. In my ‘spare’ time I enjoy travelling and being outside and active!

Hi, my name is Bronwyn Frost. I have been a synchro athlete for six years and I am now taking the next steps to become a coach in the future. I am also currently working towards becoming a lifeguard for our pool. I enjoy working with everyone and I am excited for the new season!

Hi, my name is Sierra Lehr and I am one of the volunteer coaches for the Vernon Silhouettes. I have been swimming with the team since I was 9 years old. I am currently a student at Seaton Secondary school and am in the French immersion program. In my spare time I enjoy skiing, boating and swimming in the beautiful Okanagan.

Members -at-Large
The Silhouettes have a core group of members-at-large in lieu of an elected Board of Directors, in addition to being accountable to the City of Vernon’s policies and procedures. Members include past and current club presidents, coaches and parents. This group of individuals are brought together annually to discuss any changes to current policies and procedures including any decisions regarding large funds (ie. Donation allocations etc.).

To register for either the AquaGO! Recreational Artistic Swimming program or the Competitive Artistic Swimming program, please visit www.gvrec.ca to register. For any additional questions, please contact our Head Coach at vernonsilhouettes@gmail.com
All athletes are required to complete and return the following documents every season:
Additional forms and waivers are included within your RAMP registration for CAS and BCAS at time of registration.

As per the BC Artistic Swimming's Club Operations Policy, the Vernon Silhouettes have adopted and follow the following policies in relation to attending BC Artistic Swimming events.
Any future policies identified by the CAS or BCAS Board for application to Members.
In addition to the CAS and BCAS policies above, the Silhouettes must follow the following City of Vernon policies:
