I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Automatic Control Laboratory and the Power Systems Laboratory, working under the supervision of Prof. Florian Dörfler and Prof. Gabriela Hug since November 2025.
My research focuses on the control and interoperability certification of power electronics–dominated power systems.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2018 and my Master’s degree in 2020 in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from ETH Zürich, focusing on power systems, power electronics, automatic control, and optimization. During my studies, I was honored to be a scholar of the Foundation of German Business (sdw), funded by the German government. I gained industry experience through internships at Fraunhofer ISE in Freiburg and ABB Switzerland. For my Master’s thesis, I was awarded both the ETH Medal and the SGA Award in 2020.
From 2020 to 2025, I pursued my PhD at ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Florian Dörfler. My dissertation, “Dynamic ancillary services provision in future power systems”, was defended in September 2025 before an international committee including Prof. Eduardo Prieto-Araujo from UPC Barcelona, Prof. Steven Low from Caltech, and Prof. Duncan Callaway from UC Berkeley. In Fall 2024, I conducted research as a visiting scholar at Caltech in Prof. Low’s group.
I am a member of the Global Power System Transformation DER Task Force, contributed to a Horizon Europe project that was awarded the ISGAN Award of Excellence, and won the Elia Group Open Research Challenge Award, a technology transfer project currently being implemented with system operators in Germany and Belgium.
In addition to my research, I co-lecture and coordinate the course Control Systems at ETH Zürich. Since 2022, I have also been teaching Master’s students in Mechatronics as a seasonal lecturer at Ashesi University in Ghana.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I engage in triathlons, mountaineering, and skitouring.
