I was editor and designer of our school's weekly instructional support newsletter. I would ask for content from our other coaches and organize it into a resource for our teachers.
This presentation was created with the goal of showing teachers how to use the various data platforms available and how that data could be used to differentiate instruction to meet students' needs.
It used the interactive features of Nearpod, so it also served as an example of a learning tool for their own classrooms. It was presented remotely during a virtual PD day for Cardozo Education Campus in DC Public Schools.
The presentation format is modified here because it has been downloaded from the Nearpod platform. I organized, created, and facilitated this presentation.
I was part of the Instructional Leadership team that created this observation tool together as a way to give teachers more regular feedback that would help support them in their formal observations.
It was also used as a data collection tool where we would enter the ratings weekly as a way of monitoring what essential practices (EP) we wanted to focus on in our work with teacher teams and in professional development sessions.
After seven years of supporting my school's English Language Learners in our International Academy, I wrote this 16-page document on everything I was responsible for and the resources that were valuable in supporting the program.
As the school's ACCESS testing coordinator, there were a lot of lessons learned over the years that I wanted to ensure would be passed on to the testing coordinator who followed me.
