This activity was designed for use in a mixed 9th and 10th grade Environmental Science course for recently arrived English Language Learners, Levels 1 and 2.
Students worked in groups to complete each station activity. After 12 minutes, students were prompted to rotate to the next station with their group.
I often used stations as a way to introduce a new unit or topic. It allowed for a first exposure to important vocabulary, as well as utilized all 4 domains of WIDA (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).
