1. Overview
Venuvia is a bansuri-learning and daily-riyaz Android application.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Venuvia processes, why it is used, how it is protected, when third-party services may process information, and the choices available to you.
Core learning and practice features can be used without creating an account.
2. Information processed by Venuvia
Optional Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, Firebase Authentication may provide Venuvia with:
• your name or display name;
• your email address;
• your Google/Firebase user identifier; and
• your profile photo URL, if available.
Google Sign-In is optional.
This information is used only to identify your Venuvia profile, show your profile information, and maintain authentication.
Learning preferences and progress
The app stores learning information locally on your device, including:
• selected language;
• learner level;
• bansuri scale and register;
• lesson progress;
• practice results;
• quiz records;
• XP; and
• similar learning preferences.
This local information is used to personalize lessons and show your progress.
This information is not uploaded to our own server.
Microphone and musical-note analysis
Venuvia may request microphone access when you use features such as:
• tuner;
• listening exercises;
• swara quizzes;
• microphone-based lessons;
• audio recording; or
• video recording features that require audio.
For tuner, listening, swara-analysis, and similar practice features, microphone input may be analysed in real time on your device to estimate pitch, swara, timing, stability, and provide practice feedback.
Venuvia does not use raw microphone audio for advertising.
You may deny or revoke microphone permission through Android Settings. Features that require microphone access may then be unavailable.
Camera and video recording
Venuvia may request camera and microphone permissions when you choose to use the Video Recording Studio or another feature that requires video recording.
Camera access is used only when you choose to use a camera-based feature.
Video and audio captured through the recording feature are processed on your device for recording and editing.
Completed recordings may be saved to your device when you choose to save them.
Venuvia does not automatically upload your recorded videos or recordings to our own server.
If a device does not have a compatible camera, camera-based features may be unavailable while other supported Venuvia features can continue to be used.
Subscription and purchase information (Venuvia PRO)
If you subscribe to Venuvia PRO, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. Venuvia does not receive or store your payment card, bank or other payment details.
To confirm that your subscription is active, the app sends your Google Play purchase token and a Firebase sign-in token to Venuvia’s verification service. The service checks the purchase with Google Play and keeps these records against your Firebase user identifier: the purchase token, the subscription status and expiry time, and whether the purchase has been acknowledged with Google Play. The verification service uses the sign-in token only to confirm your identity and does not store your name, email address or profile photo.
Lesson downloads
Some PRO lesson audio and video files are stored on Venuvia’s servers. When you download them, the app sends your Firebase sign-in token to Venuvia’s service, which checks your PRO status and returns short-lived download links. We do not keep a record of these links.
3. How information is used
Information processed by Venuvia is used to:
• provide optional account sign-in and profile display;
• remember your app preferences and learning progress;
• operate lessons, quizzes, tuner, rhythm, and riyaz features;
• provide audio and video recording features selected by you;
• provide practice analysis and feedback;
• display and operate advertisements where applicable;
• maintain app reliability, security, and fraud prevention;
• confirm your Venuvia PRO subscription and give you access to PRO lessons and downloads;
• prevent fraud and misuse of subscriptions and downloads;
• provide user support; and
• respond to privacy, support, or account-deletion requests.
4. Data sharing and advertising
Venuvia does not sell personal information.
Venuvia uses Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display advertisements.
Venuvia PRO subscribers do not see advertisements.
During testing, Venuvia may use Google-provided test advertisements. In production, advertisements may be served through Google AdMob.
Google Mobile Ads may process certain information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers where available and permitted, IP address, app interactions, diagnostic information, and other technical information.
Such information may be processed for purposes including:
• delivering advertisements;
• measuring ad performance;
• fraud prevention;
• security;
• diagnostics; and
• improving advertising and related services,
subject to Google’s policies and applicable user privacy and consent choices.
Venuvia does not use microphone recordings or raw microphone audio for advertising.
Authentication information is processed by Google and Firebase Authentication as service providers necessary to complete optional Google Sign-In and maintain authentication.
We do not sell personal information or share personal information with unrelated third parties except where necessary to provide app services, comply with applicable law, protect users, or prevent fraud and abuse.

5. Storage and retention
Learning preferences and progress stored locally remain on your device until you clear the app data, reset the relevant information where such an option is available, or uninstall Venuvia.
Audio or video recordings that you choose to save to your device remain under your control and may remain on your device until you delete them.
Optional Firebase Authentication account information is retained while your Venuvia account remains active.
Subscription verification records (Firebase user identifier, purchase token, subscription status and expiry) are kept while your account exists and as long as needed to verify your subscription, resolve billing disputes and meet legal, tax or accounting obligations. They contain no payment card details.
When a valid account-deletion request is completed, we will delete the associated Firebase Authentication account and account-identifying information under our control, normally within 30 days, unless retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or compliance purposes.
6. Permissions
Depending on the features you choose to use, Venuvia may request Android permissions such as microphone and camera access.
Microphone permission is used for features requiring audio input, such as tuner, swara analysis, practice exercises, audio recording, or video recording.
Camera permission is used for camera-based recording features.
Permissions are requested for the relevant functionality and can be denied or revoked through Android Settings.
Some app features may not work when the permissions required for those features are unavailable.
7. Security
Venuvia uses Android platform protections and encrypted network connections provided by Google/Firebase for authentication traffic.
Where third-party services such as Google services are used, their security and data-processing practices are also governed by their applicable policies.
No electronic system can guarantee absolute security, but we seek to limit processing to information reasonably required for Venuvia’s functions and services.
8. Children
Venuvia is intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to Venuvia, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.
9. Your choices and rights
You may:
• use core learning features without Google Sign-In;
• choose whether to use optional Google Sign-In;
• sign out of your optional Google account from the app;
• revoke microphone permission through Android Settings;
• revoke camera permission through Android Settings;
• choose whether to use audio or video recording features;
• delete recordings saved on your device;
• clear locally stored progress by clearing app data or uninstalling the app;
• request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting us; and
• request deletion of your Venuvia account using the “Delete Account” page on this site.
10. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your Venuvia account.
Open the “Delete Account” page in this site’s navigation for account-deletion instructions.
You may also email:
amitbahukhandi.ab@gmail.com
from the email address associated with your Venuvia account with the subject:
“Venuvia Account Deletion Request”
After verifying a valid request, account-identifying information under our control will normally be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, or compliance.
When a valid deletion request is completed, we also delete or permanently unlink the subscription verification records held against your Firebase user identifier, except for limited records we must keep for legal, security or billing-dispute purposes. Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Please cancel it first in Google Play > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions, otherwise Google may continue to bill you.
11. Third-party services
Venuvia may use third-party services necessary to provide certain app functionality.
These may include:
• Google services;
• Firebase Authentication;
• Google Play Billing (Google LLC), which processes subscription payments;
• Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts Venuvia’s subscription-verification and lesson-download service (Cloudflare Workers, D1 database and R2 storage); and
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
These services may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.
Users are encouraged to review Google’s applicable privacy information for additional details about how Google processes information.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Venuvia’s features, third-party services, data practices, or legal requirements change.
When this Privacy Policy is updated, the effective date at the top of this page will also be updated.
Material changes may be communicated through the app or on this page when appropriate.
