PRIVACY POLICY – FORGE

This Privacy Policy describes how Ventari Studio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Forge mobile application (“App”).

By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. WHO WE ARE

Forge is developed and published by Ventari Studio, an independent app developer.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect only what is needed to run the App:

a) Account information

- Google account identifier and email address (via Google Sign-In / Firebase Authentication)

- Account type (free or premium) and subscription-related status stored for access control

b) App data you create

- Goals / objectives (titles, descriptions, targets, schedule, icons)

- Wins / completion records

- Journal entries

- App preferences (e.g. tutorial flags, auto-sync setting)

c) Technical information

- Basic device and app diagnostics that may be processed by Google Play and Firebase (for example crash or performance signals), subject to those services’ policies

We do not collect precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, or advertising identifiers for tracking across apps.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

- Create and manage your account

- Provide core features (goals, wins, journal, progress, educational content)

- Sync and restore your data when cloud backup is used

- Enable premium features you purchase

- Improve reliability and fix issues

- Respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal information.

4. CLOUD BACKUP AND STORAGE

If you use cloud backup (including automatic backup where enabled):

- Your goals, wins, and journal data may be stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore)

- Backup payloads are encrypted on your device before upload using industry-standard encryption (AES-GCM)

- Encryption is automatic and tied to your signed-in account; you do not need a separate password

- This protects data from casual inspection in storage, but it is not a zero-knowledge system: the developer may still process or access data as needed for operation, support, or legal compliance

Local data is also stored on your device using the App’s on-device database.

5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We use trusted providers to operate the App:

- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and related infrastructure)

- Google Play (distribution, payments, subscription management)

These services process data under their own privacy policies. Payment card details for subscriptions are handled by Google Play; we do not receive or store full payment card numbers.

6. PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS

Premium access is managed through Google Play Billing. We store only what is needed to reflect your entitlement (for example account type / premium status). Manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play.

7. DATA RETENTION

- We keep account and backup data while your account remains active

- If you delete your account in the App, we remove associated cloud user data and backup data we control, subject to normal processing delays and any legal retention requirements

- Uninstalling the App alone does not always delete cloud data; use Delete account in Settings for a full removal request

8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. You can:

- View account email and plan in Settings

- Back up or stop auto-sync (where available)

- Delete your account in Settings (Danger zone)

9. CHILDREN

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. SECURITY

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including:

- Account authentication via Google / Firebase

- Access rules so users can only access their own cloud documents

- On-device encryption of backup payloads before upload

- Restricted developer access to the project

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Data may be processed on servers operated by Google in various locations. By using the App you understand that your information may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence, under applicable safeguards provided by those platforms.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy where permitted by law.
