Privacy Policy for Velora
Effective date: October 8, 2026
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Velora processes information when you use the Velora mobile application on iOS or Android.
Velora is a network diagnostics utility designed to help users inspect and understand domains, URLs, IP addresses, network endpoints, DNS resolution, connectivity, TLS information, and related technical network behavior.
Velora is operated by Coalescence OÜ ("Velora", "we", "us", or "our").
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or privacy-related matters, contact us at:

1. Overview
Velora is designed with a privacy-first approach.
The current version of Velora:
does not require an account or registration;
does not display advertising;
does not include advertising SDKs;
does not use analytics SDKs;
does not use behavioral tracking;
does not use IDFA or similar advertising identifiers;
does not track users across apps or websites;
does not access precise or approximate location;
does not access contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or health data;
does not operate a Velora-owned backend for collecting diagnostic results;
does not automatically upload your diagnostic history to us.
However, Velora is a network diagnostics application.
When you deliberately run a diagnostic check, your device must communicate with the network destination or service required to perform that check.
As a result, some technical information may be transmitted directly to websites, servers, DNS providers, Apple, Google, or other network infrastructure involved in the diagnostic operation.
Velora does not route these requests through a Velora-operated server.
2. Information You Provide
Velora allows you to voluntarily enter technical information such as:
a domain name;
an IP address;
a URL;
a hostname;
a port number.
This information is used only to perform the network diagnostic operation that you request.
You should not enter:
passwords;
authentication tokens;
API keys;
private credentials;
confidential information;
personal information;
other sensitive information
as a diagnostic target.
A URL can contain sensitive information in its path or query parameters.
If you enter such a URL, that information may be transmitted to the destination you selected.
3. Information Processed During Diagnostics
When you run a diagnostic, Velora may process technical information including:
resolved IPv4 and IPv6 addresses;
DNS responses;
connection status;
connection timing;
latency;
HTTP response status;
redirect information;
TLS and certificate information;
certificate issuer;
certificate subject;
Subject Alternative Names;
certificate expiration information;
IPv6 availability;
connectivity status;
network condition information provided by the operating system;
differences between current and previous checks;
user-created diagnostic baselines.
This information is primarily processed on your device.
Velora does not send your diagnostic history or diagnostic results to a server operated by us.
4. Network Requests and External Recipients
When you run a network diagnostic, information may be sent directly from your device to the destination or service required to perform that diagnostic.
Depending on the feature you use, recipients may include:
the website or server you select;
the DNS resolver configured by your device or network;
external DNS providers used for resolver comparison;
Apple services on iOS;
Google services on Android;
network operators and infrastructure involved in delivering the request.
The destination you select
If you test a domain, URL, IP address, hostname, or network endpoint, your device may connect directly to that destination.
The destination and its infrastructure may receive technical information such as:
your public IP address;
the domain or hostname being requested;
the URL or request path;
the date and time of the request;
TLS/SNI information;
HTTP request information;
standard protocol metadata;
a standard User-Agent;
other technical information normally associated with a network connection.
The destination may maintain its own logs according to its own privacy practices.
Velora does not control the privacy practices of websites, servers, or other destinations that you choose to test.
5. DNS Resolution
System DNS
Normal DNS resolution may use the DNS resolver configured by your operating system or network.
Depending on your configuration, DNS queries may be handled by:
your internet service provider;
your mobile carrier;
the Wi-Fi network you are using;
an enterprise or corporate network;
a DNS provider selected by you;
services provided by the operating system or platform.
Velora does not control the data-retention or privacy practices of your system DNS provider.
The transport method used for system DNS also depends on your operating system, network, and device configuration.
6. Resolver Compare / Resolver Consensus
If you explicitly choose the Resolver Compare or Resolver Consensus feature, Velora may query multiple DNS providers in order to compare DNS responses.
The current implementation may use:
Cloudflare Public DNS;
Google Public DNS;
Quad9;
the system DNS resolver.
These requests are initiated only when you choose to run this feature.
The selected DNS providers may receive:
the domain name being queried;
your public IP address;
the time of the request;
normal network and DNS metadata.
Velora uses DNS-over-HTTPS for supported external resolver comparison requests.
Each provider processes information according to its own privacy policy:
Velora does not control the retention practices of these providers.
7. Connection Pulse
Velora includes a user-initiated connection diagnostic called Connection Pulse.
Connection Pulse is not designed to continuously monitor your network in the background.
It runs when you choose to start it.
Depending on the operating system, Connection Pulse may contact a platform connectivity-check endpoint.
iOS
Velora may contact:
https://captive.apple.com/hotspot-detect.html
Apple may receive your public IP address and ordinary technical request metadata.
Apple's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
Android
Velora may contact:
https://connectivitycheck.gstatic.com/generate_204
Google may receive your public IP address and ordinary technical request metadata.
Google's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
These requests are used for connectivity diagnostics and are not used by Velora for advertising or tracking.
8. Local Storage
Velora may store certain information locally on your device so that features such as diagnostic history, comparisons, and baselines can work.
Locally stored information may include:
diagnostic activity;
previous diagnostic results;
Connection Baselines;
data used for Change Detection;
application preferences and settings.
This information is not automatically synchronized to a Velora server.
You can remove local information by:
deleting individual history entries;
clearing diagnostic history;
deleting or replacing a baseline;
clearing application data where supported by the operating system;
uninstalling Velora.
Velora relies on the security mechanisms provided by iOS, Android, and your device settings.
9. Diagnostic Reports and Sharing
Velora may allow you to export diagnostic information as text, PDF, or another supported report format.
An exported report may contain technical information such as:
the destination being checked;
IP addresses;
HTTP status;
connection latency;
redirect information;
TLS certificate information;
DNS results;
IPv6 results;
detected changes.
Velora is designed not to include sensitive information such as:
passwords;
authentication credentials;
authentication tokens;
cookies;
Authorization headers;
response body content;
sensitive HTTP headers.
Export occurs only when you initiate it.
A temporary export file may be created locally on your device.
When you use the system sharing interface, you choose which application or recipient receives the report.
After the report leaves Velora, the receiving application or service processes it according to its own privacy practices.
10. Cookies, Tracking, and Advertising
Velora does not use cookies for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The current version of Velora:
does not include advertising SDKs;
does not include third-party analytics SDKs;
does not use IDFA;
does not perform behavioral profiling;
does not sell diagnostic information;
does not use diagnostic information for targeted advertising;
does not track you across apps or websites.
Velora diagnostic networking is designed to use temporary networking sessions where appropriate and does not intentionally preserve cookies between diagnostic requests.
Velora does not intentionally send Authorization headers as part of standard diagnostic tools.
Velora does not intentionally retain page response bodies as part of normal website diagnostics.
11. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect
Velora does not intentionally collect or store on Velora-operated servers:
your name;
your email address, unless you voluntarily contact us;
your phone number;
payment information;
precise location;
approximate location obtained from location APIs;
contacts;
photos or videos;
audio recordings;
health information;
advertising identifiers;
tracking identifiers;
user account information;
browser history;
the content of pages you visit;
your diagnostic history;
your saved baselines.
Certain network information, including your public IP address and information about the destination being tested, may still be visible to external network recipients as part of normal network communication.
12. Security
Velora uses reasonable technical safeguards appropriate for a network diagnostics application.
These may include:
standard operating-system TLS validation;
HTTPS for supported requests;
DNS-over-HTTPS for supported external DNS resolver queries;
local storage of diagnostic history instead of a Velora cloud database;
restrictions on diagnostic operations;
filtering of sensitive HTTP information from exported reports;
limited redirects;
request timeouts.
Velora does not disable or bypass normal system TLS certificate validation.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.
Velora cannot guarantee the security, availability, or privacy practices of third-party websites, networks, DNS providers, servers, or other services you choose to interact with.
13. No Sale of Personal Information
Velora does not sell your personal information.
Velora does not sell diagnostic results.
Velora does not share diagnostic information for behavioral advertising.
Velora does not use diagnostic information for cross-context behavioral advertising or tracking.
14. Data Retention
Velora does not maintain a server-side database containing your diagnostic history.
Information stored locally remains on your device until:
you delete an individual item;
you clear the relevant history;
you remove a baseline;
you clear the application's local data;
or you uninstall Velora.
Information independently received by external recipients, such as websites, DNS providers, Apple, Google, network operators, or internet service providers, is retained according to their own policies.
Velora does not control those retention periods.
15. Your Choices and Controls
You can control much of Velora's data processing directly from the App.
You may:
choose whether to run a diagnostic;
avoid entering confidential information;
delete diagnostic history;
delete or replace Connection Baselines;
avoid Resolver Compare if you do not want a domain sent to external DNS providers;
choose whether to export a diagnostic report;
choose the application or recipient when sharing an exported report;
remove local Velora data by clearing application data where supported or uninstalling the App.
16. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, privacy laws may provide certain rights relating to personal data.
Because Velora does not operate a backend containing your diagnostic history, many requests concerning locally stored diagnostic records can be handled directly on your device.
You can delete local data using Velora's controls, your operating system's application-data controls where available, or by uninstalling the App.

Additional rights may apply depending on your country or region.
17. International Data Processing
Velora may be used to communicate with websites, servers, DNS providers, or platform services located in countries other than your own.
As a result, network requests you initiate may be processed in other jurisdictions.
Third-party services process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any mandatory rights you may have under applicable data-protection law.
18. Children's Privacy
Velora is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly operate Velora for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.
