The route travels along minor and very minor roads and lanes, uphill and downhill, through the Peak District's widely varying scenery. Passing through quiet villages, dales, woods and moorlands, the riding is gentle and slow but Thruxtons may object! It is a good test of brakes, clutches and gearboxes.
Navigation is challenging, but the group will be led by John. Every rider should ensure the following rider is kept in sight.
Please note, there are very few petrol stations en route!! Riders should fill up before starting. A petrol station/garage is available at the start of run by the Unicorn. Tesco’s sell cheaper fuel and are located about 3 miles north from the Unicorn, next to the A34.
Large sections of the route have no mobile signal.
Car drivers please be prepared for parking charges at Fairholmes Picnic Site, Derwent Valley/Ladybower. Refreshingly, motorbikes are free. Thanks go to Ian of the East Midlands Centre, who received the following information:-
"Dear Mr Brownson
I’m really sorry we lost your email due to technical issues with our inbox.
We do not charge for motorbikes at Fairholmes due to issues with difficulties of displaying the tickets!
Hope that helps.

For those wishing to visit Arbor Low, there is a charge of £1
As usual the event is subject to change depending on the weather forecast. Be sure to check this web site for late information of changes.
Safety
Some awkward junctions crossing fast 'A' roads, need great care and attention. Other hazards include mud, gravel, sheep, loose cows and some very sharp hairpin bends! These hairpin bends can be avoided by those of nervous disposition!
People taking part in the Centre's activities do so at their own risk and everyone is responsible for their own safety.
